Jessica and Matt {I Do}

I met Jessica and Matt last fall for their engagement pictures and since then I was so excited to get to shoot this couple again. They have just a calm about them that can make anyone feel comfortable.

When I got to the hotel to start taking photos of the girls getting ready, Jessica was in basketball shorts – she is the type of girl that you know never compromises who she is as a person. You can see who she is no matter what element you are in. Once she got in her dress everyone just gasped – she looked beautiful. She let me know that the last time Matt would have seen her this dressed up would have been PROM! I knew he was just going to be floored/shocked/awed when he saw her.

They decided to do a first look – which was amazing. It gave us a ton of time for photos and after the ceremony was done – they were free to go mingle with their guests right away.

The whole day was a dream (even with the rain). Their family and friends showed their love throughout the night and the dancing never stopped!

Ellison turns Six Months {Baby and Family Session}

There really isn’t enough great things I can say about this next family. I adore my clients in every way, shape and form and the Myrand family is absolutely no exception. Let me tell you, I got hugs from both Mom and Dad at the beginning of the session – that’s just how you know things are going to start off great.

As some of you may know, I graduated with Shannon from Novi High and we actually graduated from MSU the same year as well! Shannon has hit the jackpot with her husband and daughter and they hit the jackpot with her. All three of them smile the WHOLE ENTIRE TIME. That’s just who they are. Not only is Shannon one of the nicest people I have ever met, she is also one of the most creative. She started her own line of awesomely cute baby products at her esty store (Baby Ellie). I already placed an order (for all those new moms with baby girls – I have a Pinkberry Tutu coming!!). All three are honestly just a pleasure to be around and I can’t wait till next time!

The Rossi Family {Children/Family Session}

Blessed is a word I’ve been using a lot these days. I have been so very blessed with the opporunity to work with such great people and these great people recommend me to other great people. This is what happen with the Rossi family! The sweet Summers family gave my name to the wonderful Rossi family and I honestly couldn’t be happier that they did!

The Rossi family is everything a family should be. They are kind, sweet, loving and fun. From minute one we all just clicked and I love every second of this session. It was my first time at Metro Beach and I was just shocked. Lake St.Clair is just beautiful! I know I will start doing many more sessions here! It is just a dream (other then those crazy fish flies).

I had an amazing time meeting Enzo (three), Luca (Nine Months) and their mommy and daddy! I hope they enjoy their preview!

Keira and Family {Family Sessions}

Last weekend I had the honor and privilege of taking my cousin Erika’s daughters photos. Little Keira is getting cuter by the day! She recently turned three and pretty soon she is going to be a BIG sister! She has a baby sister due in late October!!

Keira is increditably sweet and her cuteness is OUT OF THIS WORLD. She came out of the car in the cutest dress saying (in the cutest voice) ‘I’m ready for my pictures.’ Ugh! She is just a love bug!

Jason and Marie {I Do}

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Marie and Jason. As I said in their engagement post blog, they are seriously one of the sweetest couples I have ever encountered. They both ooze love and affection, not only for each other, but everyone around them. A quote I remember from Jason right after the ceremony, “Can we take photos in a minute? I want to go hug our parents.” It’s honestly little things like that, that made me love this couple. They care for so many people and you could tell that everyone cared for them.

They got married at Cobblestone Farms in Ann Arbor, MI. This place was BEAUTIFUL! SO much fun to have a wedding there. You get all the grounds to yourself – which includes a cute house, a barn AND – get this – a real live FARM! I was pretty excited when I saw that there were actual animals there. It just added another awesome element to an already fanastic day.

I hope the two of them are enjoying each other on their honeymoon and that these photos bring a smile to their faces while remembering the best day of their lives.

I will say this a million times, I love what I do.

The Peraino Family {Family Session}

The first time I ever met the Peraino family was last summer at Firefighters Park in Troy, MI – it was for Madeline’s two year photos. Since they we have gone to Northville and their humble abode to take more photos. This past week we came full circle back to Firefighters Park – this time with Matteo.

This family is beyond sweet and I always count my blessings every time they ask me back - the best compliment I can get. I enjoy my time with them each and every time we get together. I’m happy that I was able to document Madeline at three and Matteo at three months.
