An Evening Family Session

August 29th, 2011

I don’t get the chance to take older kids and their families that often and so when this family contacted me to do a session I was SO excited. I like doing different things and since I do young families so often it was a really nice chance to get to do something different. We started at their home and headed to the beach. We had a fabulous day and I am so happy with how the photos are turning out! They are one gorgeous family!

Hope you enjoy the preview!!

We couldn’t leave out this ADORABLE dog!! SOOOOO cute!

Mom and her kids :)

Love it.

The gorgeous family.

Love the flowers in the back!

A favorite :)

Families should always have their photos taken at the beach!

Another favorite <3

I don’t think this family took a bad photo.

One more of the kids.

Beautiful! Mother and daughter :)

The handsome father and son!

And one more of the family!

Thank you to this beautiful family inside and out! I had a blast spending the evening with all of you! Hope to see you soon!!

Samantha and Richard {I Do}

August 24th, 2011

I am a sucker for weddings. Ask anyone who knows me and they are sure to say one thing – she’s a sucker for weddings.  It doesn’t have to be my own - anyone’s, doesn’t matter.

This was just the case with Sam and Richard. I met them earlier in the year and I knew then that it was going to be a fabulous day (even if it was in AA – I’m a STATE grad, leave me alone). The day started out lovely – I had the chance to get ready with the girls and see the groom before he headed down the aisle. Both the bride and groom were cool, calm and collected. They knew what they were doing was completely and utterly the best possible thing – they were in love.

After the ceremony it started to pour … lighting … thunder. It looked like our trip to the UofM stadium was going to be a no go. We took all the family photos inside the church and by some sort of miracle by the time they were done the clouds parted. We headed to the stadium with the whole bridal party. I was so lucky to be a part of Sam and Richards big day – it was magical from start to finish.

I hope you enjoy the preview!

The bride and her ADORABLE niece.

I couldn’t decide what dress photo I liked better :)

Getting the dress on!!

And there’s the Groom – all calm!

Love this!

Becoming Husband and Wife.

<3

I just love how happy they look!

Parents :)

The boys being all studly!

Sticking around the church grounds a little before the stadium!! The rain made everything look so green!

LOVE this

I swear – these two were fierce!

The Handsome Groom

And the Beautiful Bride :)

At the stadium!!

Love this of the bridal party!! The colors are just fabulous!

 Another favorite

The ladies being awesome – love the flower girl!

Little more bride and groom time before we head to the reception :)

Love.

Another favorite :)

Time to cut the cake!

Dances <3

One of the best garter tosses I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing

And, of course, we are in AA why wouldn’t there be football players hanging out at the Sheraton?

Thank you to Samantha, Richard and all their family and friends for making me feel welcome throughout the night! I had a blast and I truly hope that you two are enjoying your honeymoon in AZ!!

Twins and a Newborn {Family Session}

August 22nd, 2011

How lucky am I that I get to photograph such cute kids? This past weeks session was NO exception. I got contacted by my husbands cousin to do some photos for her sister who recently had an adorable baby boy! I was super excited to do this and was not expecting what I heard next … she had twin 20 month olds as well!! Now I was EXTREMELY excited!

When I got there the twins were a little shy but when they realized I was a friend they started to get use to me. The baby was adorable! They stole my heart when they put on a little MSU hat  - GO Green!

I had an amazing time and I hope that I have a chance to see this sweet family again!

Seriously – what the cute?!

See – they even smiled for me!!

The adorable twins :)

Daddy and daughter <3

Mother and her sons :)

Love this.

A little newborn time :) One of my favs!

Go Green! Go White! Go State!

I am pretty sure that’s a smirk :)

Another one that makes me smile :)

Time for a little twin time :)

And he is just the handsomest little guy!

What beautifully awesome kids :)

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for allowing me to capture the first days of the little ones life with his big brother and sister! I had a blast meeting the whole family!

Joe and Becky {I Do}

August 17th, 2011

I want to start off by saying, once again, that I have the coolest and most awesome job in the whole entire world. I get to share and have a behind the scenes look at the most intimate and special day of your lives. There really isn’t anything cooler than that.

I was extra excited about this wedding because I knew the family – sort of. The groom’s sister got married a few weeks ago and I was their wedding photographer! It was great to see everyone again to celebrate another beautiful couple – Joe and Becky.

I met Becky at the beginning of the year when things with her other photographer didn’t turn out too well. I felt so bad for her BUT I’m glad it happened and brought us together! Becky has one of the most caring personalities I have ever come in contact with and Joe is honestly the same exact way. They both oozed everything a couple should on their wedding day – fun, friendship, family and LOVE.

I was so happy I could be a part of the festivities and I hope that you enjoy the preview!!

Just a few details :)

<3 these

The Precious flower girl!

Getting beautiful :)

While the ladies get ready the groom is hanging out as calm as can be.

One more deep breath and away they go!

First kiss as a Mr. and Mrs.

Married!!

Grabbing a hug from mom :)

The stunning bride.

And the handsome Groom.

Together.

The bride and her ladies.

The groom and his gentlemen.  Also a favorite groomsmen picture :)

The whole party!!

Love this.

Bride and Groom time!!

Ummm… LOVE this!

Love the fact that Becky brought umbrellas!!

Now that is one big group!

First dance as husband and wife.

Daddy and his daughter :) Love it!

And, of course, the gorgeous mother and her son.

Becky does Zumba all the time (she has lost 41 pounds – WOW!) and so they did a Zumba dance! Love it!

Love this – this is what every face should look like at a wedding. Happy.

The boys could not be out done by the girls!! Doing their own little dance!

This is one intense bouquet throw!

Ending the night with a little one on one time outside <3

Thank you, Becky and Joe! I had a fabulous time seeing and meeting your families and friends. I hope that you have an AMAZING time on your honeymoon and you enjoy every second of married life!

Jack and Emma {Children Session}

August 10th, 2011

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Jack and Miss. Emma – two adorable kids. Their mommy and daddy brought them to Firefighters Park to get some photos taken and I’m sure glad they did. This was another family that we had to reschedule a couple of times because of how hot it had been. Luckily, we had a gorgeous day!  Not too hot and a bit of a breeze.

Jack was just turning three and Emma had just turned one. There was a lot of celebrate! At the end of the session their mommy brought out some huge suckers and the smiles on their faces couldn’t get any bigger. I just love when parents add something special to the session! It was perfect!

Hope you enjoy the preview!!

The gorgeous family.

Love the feel to this image :)

This one makes me smile :)

<3

Jack is such a little cutie!

And not to be out done by her brother, little Emma.

How precious is this?

Come on lady, enough pictures.

Ummm… love this.

Such a great family!

Emma’s turned ONE!!

I swear she is one of the happiest little girls! SO friendly!

IN love with this one. SOOOOO cute!

Love it. Trying to catch up to her brother.

I just loved the idea of the sucker!! I think someone else did too :)

Hypnotized by the sugar!

I just liked too many of them!!

Loving the face after the sucker!

Emma’s face was just as good!

Walking away with her sucker … session over :)

Thank you to Jack, Emma and their mommy and daddy! I had a blast and am super happy we could finally get together! Hope Jack had a great birthday!! See you guys soon!

Julia {Four Year Session}

August 7th, 2011

It’s crazy to think how such small things can effect your life to the greatest degree. I am beyond lucky to have three of the most incredible nieces in the world. They are all so young yet so smart, loving, caring and funny.  The first niece on the scene was my beautiful Julia. She was the surprise as some would call it.  She is honestly the greatest thing that has ever happened to our family. She just turned four and I can honestly say that the last four years have been some of the greatest moments in my life and it’s due to her.

She is the sweetest, smartest and most caring four year old I have ever met. She has a personality that is out of this world and a imagination to go right along with it. She is starting preschool in the fall and I can guarantee that she will want to be friends with everyone.

She has taught me a lot about love, patience and kindness.  She makes me laugh. She is a beautiful person. She is my best buddy. I just love that little thing to pieces.

Hope you enjoy Julia’s four year preview (with a bit of Gabby in the mix).

Aren’t these two adorable?

Julia is such a good big sister :)

This photo just screams Julia and Gabby.

Love this photo – the Nut Mill = where these girls belong ;)

Cuteness OVERLOAD.

Now it’s Julia’s turn to be in the spotlight!

Gotta have one with Toto.

In love.

I think this photo makes her look like she’s 13 or something!

She just has the prettiest hair!

Love her sass!

Start of school outfit!

Seriously, what the model? Did not tell her to stand like this.

There’s the Julia I know and love!

Love her.

There really isn’t too much else to say rather then I love this girl too much! I wish her the best year of being four ever! I hope she remembers her love for Wizard of Oz, Dorthy and Toto!!

admin Thanks Colleen!!! They are quite cute! Thanks for the comment!
Colleen Your neices are quite possibly the CUTEST children on the face of the planet. Also, Julia should be a child model cause her eyes and hair are KILLING me with cuteness!

The Four Boys {Children Session)

August 5th, 2011

I was able to photograph all four boys earlier this year and I was super excited to get the opportunity to do it again! The fifth little boy is on his way in just a couple of weeks! I give that mama all the credit in the world. The boys are as cute as can be, but whoa! Anyone with four or five boys most likely gets what she is going through – I was only there two hours and I was wiped! Those boys have a ton of energy!

We were lucky enough to be able to have a gorgeous day on the beach. We tried to get some formals but the boys just wanted to play – which was A OK with me because those are when all those real smiles came out!! I had a blast and I just cannot wait till the next time – when one more boy is added!!

Enjoy the preview!

Meet all the boys! Going from oldest to youngest!

Now these boys are cool!

Had to have one with nana!

In love with this one!

The four pack!

Love this.

I dare someone look at this and not smile.

<3

so fun!

There is just something about this I love.

Poor little guy – couldn’t catch up!

Wait for me guys!!

You can totally tell these brothers are close :)

This little one loved being in the water :)

Youngest to oldest :)

Can’t wait to see them again soon!!

Thanks to all the boys and their mommy and nana for having over for the morning. I had a blast hanging out at the beach with all of you! Can’t wait to see you in a couple of months!

The Curtis Family {Portrait and Family Session}

August 3rd, 2011

Mother Nature has not really cooperated in the past couple of weeks. Storms, heat, rain – the whole gambit.  The Curtis family was another family that kept getting pushed back by the weather. When we finally did get together this past weekend, I couldn’t have been any happier that we did. This family is out of this world nice. They are exactly the type of people you want to work with – warm, friendly and welcoming.

Their two children, Brennan and Caitlyn are just the cutest little things. Brennan is two and Caitlyn is just three months – even though both so young, you can see Brennan playing his big brother roll perfectly. Caitlyn is going to have a hard time bringing any guy home (when she’s 21 of course) that would be good enough for her in the eyes of her big brother.

Both kids are incrediably content and happy – perfect for a Saturday morning session.

Enjoy the preview!

Honestly, how cute are they?

Now this is a family hug – LOVE it!

These two melt hearts with their cuteness.

The ever so adorable, Brennan.

Now meet the ever so sweet, Caitlyn.

Um, seriously? This is one cute baby.

Mom gets an A+ for the bow and outfit!

I’m telling ya, every time you want to see a baby smile – lift them in the air :)

<3 this.

Those chubby cheeks are so stinkin cute!

ummmm… love it.

Bubbles, water, two cute kids – it doesn’t get much better.

<3 <3 <3

Time to play ball!!

Can’t look at this and NOT smile!

This one cracks me up!

SO sweet.

My favorite playground pic – ever.

It’s always good to end a session with a bit of fun!

Thank you Curtis family for reminding me why I love what I do. You guys were incredibly sweet and welcoming. I can’t wait to see you all again soon!

Maddox {Family/Three Month Session}

August 1st, 2011

First of all, how cool is the name Maddox? This little man was born cool! How can you not with a name like that? Not only does he have a very cool name, he has some very cool parents as well. I met the family out in Firefighters Park and we totally lucked out with the weather! We had to reschedule the last time because it was just WAY too hot for a little baby.

Maddox wasn’t having it at the beginning of the session but once he was feed – he was one happy kid. We were able to get some great shots of the whole family! All three of them photograph extremely well!

I hope you enjoy the preview!

Meet Maddox :)

He was getting bored with the shoot :)

LOVE it!

Is he not the cutest thing?!

Hanging around with daddy

Some family photos – these guys are SO photogenic!
