Alan and Maggie {Engagement Session}

Monday, October 31st, 2011

Adam and I are so lucky to have such great friends. Two of these friends are getting married next October! Alan was the best man in our wedding and has been friends with Adam since they were just little kids. He met Maggie in college and proposed a couple of months ago in Niagara Falls (where they took their first vacation together).

We are so lucky to have them in our lives and I cannot wait to celebrate their wedding!

Enjoy the preview!

Carrie and Brian {Engagement Session}

Thursday, October 27th, 2011

If you are talking about awesomeness you must be talking about my next couple because, honestly, they are pretty awesome. Carrie and Brian are getting married in December (awesome) and I just can’t wait to spend some more time with them. I knew Carrie in high school and I was super excited when she contacted me about shooting her wedding.

The two of them are beyond fun and were up for anything I asked. I knew that we were pretty lucky when a deer walked right behind us as we were shooting – pretty awesome. Everything about this couples makes me smile and I can’t wait to see them again in December!

Enjoy the preview!

Gavin and Ava {Twins Turn One!}

Wednesday, October 26th, 2011

These two super cute and sweet twins hold a special place in my heart because of their mother. Alis, their mother, is my cousin – we had grown up together being that we were only a couple of months apart.  She has grown into such a beautiful person on the inside and out and she now has this beautiful family. Her husband is one of the nicest people I have ever encountered and their kids are just the cutest.

We were FINALLY able to get together to get some photos of them taken – just in time for their first birthday! We went to Heritage Park in Farmington Hills and I can’t say enough good things about this location. As soon as you pull up you know it’s good – there are a ton of photographers there! Good thing it’s a big park! I am so happy that I was able to spend some time with these kiddos and their parents – hopefully it won’t be so long until the next time I see them!

Enjoy the preview!!

Meet the adorable twins :)

Love this <3

This guy’s a little handsome devil!

And what a sweet princess!

Caitlyn Turns Six Months {Children Session}

Tuesday, October 25th, 2011

Stop me if I’ve said this before BUT I get to spend some time with some really awesome people. This past Saturday (the day where MSU threw the Hail Mary and won against Wisconsin) I got to spend some time with a family that I had the pleasure of meeting just a couple of months ago. Then the session was about the whole family – this time it was all about Caitlyn, with her adorable brother added here and there. This family is absolutely wonderful and I was super excited that they had asked me back!

We went to a wonderful park in Birmingham – had no idea! It was a super cute place and a good incentive for kids to come because the playground is super nice.

Enjoy the preview!

Honestly, what the adorable?!

Fell in LOVE with this hat!

I just fell in love with this one – they look so sweet :)

A favorite <3

Backyard Family Session {Metro Detroit Family Session}

Monday, October 24th, 2011

Once in awhile I get super lucky to meet great people (ok, all the time) – this past Friday was a special case. I got contacted by Christie, the daughter in this family, saying that she and her brother had promised their parents a photo session. We debated about where to do the photos and ended up doing them in their backyard. I LOVED this! Not only is there backyard great, it was the place where they live which made it special.

Not only did we rock this session out pretty fast (with the falling temps and all) but the family was an absolute BLAST to work with. Always smiling and always laughing – exactly what I love about my job.

Hope you enjoy the preview!

The start of this awesome family! Love these two photos.

And their two kids …

Some family pics in the backyard :)

Love.

Couldn’t pick my favorite from the next two!

Had to put up one with the family dog!!

The next two just flat out make me smile :) Some of my favorites.

Thank you to this wonderful family for allowing me into your home to capture you just as you are. I had a blast!

Marley and Family {Family Photo Session}

Thursday, October 20th, 2011

I love meeting new people – that is part of the reason why I love photography so much – you are constantly meeting new people. It was no different this past Sunday.

This was one of the sweetest families I have ever met! We were suppose to have an early session but mother nature had different plans. Luckily, the weather turned around and we were able to get together in the afternoon! Marley, the most smiley seven month old I have ever seen, was just the most fun! She honestly smiled at everything and was so content with whatever and wherever we wanted to go.

We went to a small park off of telegraph road and I LOVED it!! It was so pretty and super close.  I will def. be going there again!

I hope you enjoy the preview!

The whole family <3

Now one with Grandma and Grandpa too!

She has got the prettiest eyes!

This place had so many great areas!

Thank you to this wonderful family!! The three of you were just a joy to work with and I hope that I can see you guys again soon!!

Baby Matteo {Six Month Session}

Tuesday, October 18th, 2011

This family is no stranger to my blog. I have captured a lot of moments in this families lives and I couldn’t be happier to do it.

This time around the focus of the session was baby Matteo – he just turned seven months and he could not be any cuter. We went to an amazing place in Rochester and had a blast walking around the area playing with leaves in the absolutely GORGEOUS weather. His big sister Maddy made it into a couple of photos too!!

Enjoy the preview!

Such a difference in just a couple of months! So interested in everything around him!

Love it.

Couldn’t pick between the next two!

Love it – I think they look so much alike here! Same faces!

Got to have some family photos!!

A Windy Kensington Family Session {Family Session}

Monday, October 17th, 2011

Yes, it was windy. Yes, it was chilly. Yes, MSU won. Yes, Saturday was a good day.

Not only was Saturday a good day because I got to see Michigan State kick some Michigan but, I also got to capture a truly beautiful family. I have to say I was a little nervous about the wind (and the chillness that came along with it) but this family was seriously awesome. They were all troopers and we were able to get some really fantastic images of them all together!

I’m so glad I had the opportunity to meet them all and I can’t wait to see them all again hopefully sometime soon!

Enjoy the preview!

Jenny and Steve {We Will ~ Engagement Session}

Monday, October 3rd, 2011

I first met Jenny and Steven years and years ago at Michigan State. Jenny is best friends with one of my best friends, Erin.  Jenny and Steve have been dating for a very long time :) Good things to come to those who wait and a couple of months ago the two of them got engaged in Las Vegas!!

These two are truly great for each other and you can tell within the first ten minutes of meeting them that they were made for each other. I had a blast walking around the Royal Park Hotel (where they are getting married next year). Even though the rain was going to stop up – we pushed through!

I hope you enjoy the preview!!

The beautiful couple :)

Love this.

Jenny, you are GORGEOUS!
