Michelle and Michael {Metro Detroit Engagement Photographer}
I am going to apologize right now. This might be a long post – with both what I have to say and the photos. You have been warned.
I have very few girlfriends – even fewer best girlfriends but Michelle is on that very short list. I have know her for about 15 years. We went to middle school together, were inseparable in high school and were roommates all the way through college (Go State!). It doesn’t get much closer than that. I moved back to our hometown and she stayed one more year at school. There was middle school fun, high school drama, college experiences and now we are adults. We never lost contact. She was one of my first calls when I got engaged to stand up in my wedding.
Through middle school, high school and college I got to meet all the boyfriends. There was some I liked but looking back, none were good enough. You had to be a special kind of person to be in Michelle’s life and none of the boyfriends ever fit the bill. That is, until Michael came into the picture. It was one of the first meetings I had with Michael when I knew, just knew, this was going to be her forever guy. He knew exactly how to handle her.
The beginning of this year they bought a home together and just a few months after that Michael proposed (about time). Seeing them together makes my heart smile. You truly want the best for the best people in your life and I know that I no longer have to worry about Michelle because she truly got her happily ever after and I am so happy that I get to be apart of it. Now it’s my turn to stand by her on her special day – in Vegas no less!!
I wish the two of them nothing but joy, happiness and love.
Enjoy the preview!

Tahlene and Dan ~ We Will {Metro Detroit Engagement Photographer}
There are times where I just feel SO incredibly lucky to have such wonderful people contact me for photos. This time was NO different. In fact, this couple made me smile the whole entire session. It is completely obvious that these two are head over heels for each other and that love made me smile.
Tahlene and Dan are going to be married this coming August so we got together this past weekend to grab some engagement photos at Kensington Metropark. I love getting the chance to work with the couple before the wedding so I can get to know their personalities. These two are FABULOUS! This is honestly a couple that was made for each other. You can see their happiness, joy and love in every single photo. I cannot wait to be a part of their big day!!
Enjoy the preview!
LOVE Kensington!
These two were on fire with their model faces!
I’m telling ya, they OOZED love!

Tahlene and Dan: Thank you so much for choosing me! I had a blast working with the two of you and can’t wait to see you both on your wedding day!
Brian and Lauren {Metro Detroit Engagement Photographer}
This couple was SO fun. I love when a couple can bring things to the engagement session that mean something to them. Both Lauren and Brian ride motorcycles so they decided to incorporate one of their motorcycles into the photos! I was SO excited! We found a perfect little place to park it within a Northville subdivision!
Along with the motorcycle, Lauren found some cute ideas on Pinterest! One of which was the writing about hearts and last names on the mini chalk boards! Those were some of my favorite photos! So clever and cute! I can’t wait to see what they have thought up for their wedding in November!!
Enjoy the preview!
Love it!
Every couple should bring something as cool as a motorcycle!!
So cute!
Seriously Lauren? You are gorgeous!
Gotta love the way an open field looks!
<3
Love the outfit change.

Is this not one of the cutest things ever?! LOVE it.
Such an awesome couple!
Thanks to this wonderful couple! I loved all your ideas and cannot wait until the wedding!
Ann and Radi {Metro Detroit Engagement Photographer}
I was incredibly excited when my roommate from college emailed me about her engagement! After attending Michigan State University together, Ann moved to Chicago where she got a job in hospitality business and met the love of her life.
I haven’t seen her in about three years and when she contacted me about engagement photos I was SO excited! We ended up going to Firefighters Park in Troy and had a blast! It was great to catch up – just like old times. Although we haven’t seen each other in so long, we were able to pick up like we had just seen each other the day before. They are getting married in just a few months and I can’t wait to see her in a beautiful wedding dress!!
Enjoy the preview!!
The adorable couple!

Alan and Maggie {Engagement Session}
Adam and I are so lucky to have such great friends. Two of these friends are getting married next October! Alan was the best man in our wedding and has been friends with Adam since they were just little kids. He met Maggie in college and proposed a couple of months ago in Niagara Falls (where they took their first vacation together).
We are so lucky to have them in our lives and I cannot wait to celebrate their wedding!
Enjoy the preview!
Yep – they are pretty damn adorable
A favorite.

Loving the fall!
A special place where the two of them went when they lived in the area
Love you Alan and Maggie!!
Carrie and Brian {Engagement Session}
If you are talking about awesomeness you must be talking about my next couple because, honestly, they are pretty awesome. Carrie and Brian are getting married in December (awesome) and I just can’t wait to spend some more time with them. I knew Carrie in high school and I was super excited when she contacted me about shooting her wedding.
The two of them are beyond fun and were up for anything I asked. I knew that we were pretty lucky when a deer walked right behind us as we were shooting – pretty awesome. Everything about this couples makes me smile and I can’t wait to see them again in December!
Enjoy the preview!

Jenny and Steve {We Will ~ Engagement Session}
I first met Jenny and Steven years and years ago at Michigan State. Jenny is best friends with one of my best friends, Erin. Jenny and Steve have been dating for a very long time
Good things to come to those who wait and a couple of months ago the two of them got engaged in Las Vegas!!
These two are truly great for each other and you can tell within the first ten minutes of meeting them that they were made for each other. I had a blast walking around the Royal Park Hotel (where they are getting married next year). Even though the rain was going to stop up – we pushed through!
I hope you enjoy the preview!!
The beautiful couple
Steve helping her out

Haha… looks like a serious conversation is happening.
Seriously, these two didn’t take a bad photo.

Thank you Jenny and Steve for allowing me to capture this exciting time in your lives!! I’m sure I will see you both soon!
Marie and Jason {Engagement Session}
How lucky am I that I get to meet amazing people everyday? This statement rings true in regards to the fabulous couple I got to work with this past weekend.
Jason and Marie are two of the nicest, most sweet, couples I have ever met. I loved that I could tell Marie was excited for her photo session and I loved Jason for being a little shy (exactly how my own engagement session went).
They are incredibly perfect for each other and in every photo they truly compliment each other. I’m am SUPER thrilled we didn’t have to cancel – sometimes weather people have NO idea what they’re talking about!
Ann Arbor was gorgeous – so many perfect locations to stop and take a photo. I really truly hope that Marie and Jason (and their family and friends) enjoy their preview!
Perfect.
Marie and Jason truly rocked it out.
We literally had a perfect fall day – the colors were amazing.
This building made me extremely happy.
It was painful to take all these photos while they were wearing UofM gear – Go State
Had to make a quick stop at Ben and Jerry’s!
Marie and Jason – THANK YOU! Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to capture your engagement. I had a blast walking the streets and campus of Ann Arbor with you. I can’t wait until your wedding where there will be a little more green blood
Hope you enjoyed!!
Kim and Travis {Engagement Session}
This past Sunday I met Kim (another Novi High Grad) and Travis in downtown Northville- one of my absolute favorite places. We were suppose to go to downtown Plymouth but our plans got rearranged and I’m so glad they did!
Kim and I have been emailing each other back and forth about when to do the photos. We had a date and then her poor dog had to have surgery. We had another day but then Travis had to go to Georgia. Finally we picked this past Sunday – Travis was going to be in from Georgia and it was going to be perfect.
And perfect it was. This couple is so fun that I seriously can’t wait for their wedding (I was promised that they are going to have one of the most fun wedding parties).
I hope you guys enjoy your preview!
One of those laughing photos that I just LOVE.
LOVing the backgrounds in Northville!
<3
I Love all the colors! The purple and yellows make me smile
Kim! You are SO gorgeous! Love this photo of you!
A downtown classic – Genitti’s
How can you not love benches and ally ways?!
A favorite – I loved these doors
Let’s see the bling bling!
I’m also loving this photo – gorg!
And another favorite – Kim, your eyes are amazing.
Don’t worry – they act like this everyday, right Travis?
The colors make me so happy – Fall should be around all the time.
Michigan and Ohio State … Where’s MSU?!
I had to break these two part … it looked like Travis might have the lead on Kim but…
Kim was able to get him in a choke hold
Can’t we all just be friends?
<3
They made up
They are both in the police field so we found it appropriate :)
Another favorite.
You two are perfect for each other! Always stay as happy as you guys were the day we took these pictures!
Thank you again to Kim and Travis – even though we had to change locations, change dates and get Travis to the airport on time – we did it. I had a blast and cannot wait for your wedding!
Jessica and Matt {Engagement Session}
I had the pleasure of taking pictures for Jessica (Alumni of Novi High- Woo hoo) and Matt for their engagement.
I know I may say this a lot, but my clients are honestly the best people. Both Jessica and Matt came out ready and willing to do whatever was asked of them. If I told them to climb on a tree branch sitting over the water – they were in. If I asked them to show a little PDA they did it (although Matt was a little more comfortable with that
).
They are truly a sweet and loving couple and I just can’t wait to shoot their wedding next year!
Hope you guys enjoy your preview!
I love when clients laugh for real! So cute!
Wow. Aren’t they a gorgeous couple?!
One of my favorites.
We had some gorgeous colors!
LOVE this one – Jessica you are beautiful!
So cute!
I love the happiness that Jessica exuded.
Have to get the beautiful ring in there!
<3
There’s that whole laughing thing again – LOVE it.
How can you see this wall and NOT take a picture with it?
Love.
LOVE this background – Northville has so many perfect spots.
Love this.
Ummm… engagement sessions in the fall? Yes, please.
Beautiful.
Thank you Jessica and Matt for allowing me to spend the morning with you guys around Northville! I can’t wait for your wedding next year!
